Jieying Zhou, PhD, Springer Nature, China
Jieying Zhou joined the BMC Series as an Associate Editor in March 2024. She holds a PhD specialized in Chemical Engineering and Material Sciences from Leipzig University, Germany. After graduating, Jieying did her post-doctoral research in Helmholtz Centre – Munich on interdisciplinary topics, where she investigated metallic nano-biosensors for measuring protein-protein interactions. Jieying developed a specific interest in reading widely into fields of health and life sciences along her research journey. She is excited about her role in promoting open access publishing at BMC Pediatrics and is now based in Springer Nature’s Shanghai office.
